VOAMASS client drives away with a new car!

Since August 2024, Gwen, one of our dedicated Recovery Coaches, has been working with Ron, who has now celebrated over a year of sobriety.

Committed to his recovery, Ron has been consistently attending therapy and appointments. Back on his own two feet, Ron wants to continue to improve his life, including going back to school for his CDL license. However, transportation challenges had been a barrier—until now.

Thanks to our long-time partner, Second Chance Cars, Ron received a car, which has been a game-changer for him. Now, he can visit his kids and continue building his future. Just this past weekend, he was cheering on his kids at a basketball game!

Gwen shared, “Ron really put in the work. It takes a village, and it’s exciting to see so many people come together to support him.” This car was made possible through Second Chance Cars’ collaboration with Somerville Vocational School, where students worked on the car as part of their training.

Ron’s progress is a true testament to his hard work and the support he’s received from VOAMASS. Life is looking brighter, and we are proud to be part of his journey.
