Through Operation Backpack®, Volunteers of America is working to ensure children from low-income and unhoused families return to the classroom with dignity, confidence, and the supplies they need to thrive. With our dedicated community, we can support all the students across our region this year.

For many families, back-to-school season is a financial burden. The cost of backpacks, notebooks, pens, and binders can add up – especially as prices continue to rise – forcing families to choose between groceries and school supplies. That’s where Operation Backpack® comes in.
