Announcement of Funding to End Veteran Homelessness
On July 11, VOAMASS hosted Lieutenant Governor Kim Driscoll, Executive Office of Veterans Services (EOVS) Secretary Jon Santiago, Executive Office of Housing and Livable Communities (EOHLC) Secretary Ed Augustus, Somerville Mayor Katjana Ballantyne, and other public officials and partners to announce nearly $7 million in grant funding as part of the Healey-Driscoll Administration’s campaign to end veteran homelessness once and for all.
The Housing Outreach-to-Placement Effort (HOPE) initiative will offer comprehensive, high-intensity veteran outreach and case management to assist homeless veterans and their families to obtain housing. As one of the HOPE grant recipients, VOAMASS is looking forward to further supporting our veterans across the state and ensuring that everyone has access to safe, affordable housing.
