Tina Handren

Tina joined the VOAMASS team as Chief People Officer in 2026, where she partners closely with leaders across the agency to develop and direct a comprehensive people strategy to drive our agency’s continued growth. She leads all human resources functions, including recruitment and retention strategies, the development of a people-first culture focused on best-in-class client care, and the design of our highly competitive compensation and benefits strategies.

Tina has nearly two decades of human resources experience and was previously Human Resources Director at an adolescent residential program. In this role, she managed recruitment and developed plans on retention, culture, and staff engagement while coaching the leadership team on best practices. She has also held senior HR roles at various health care organizations, including one that operated substance use treatment programs across the country.   

Tina is personally committed to enhancing the employee experience at VOAMASS and ensuring it continues to be a welcoming, diverse, and high-performing organization. She holds a bachelor’s degree from Salve Regina University and volunteers for the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention and Youth Pride RI, among other organizations.
